Description: Aerial photograph of the village of Paynton. The main street is lined with shops, one of which is legible, reading: "WAMAGEE [?]." An excerpt from "Midwest Country": "Paynton was originally settled by three retired constables of the North West Mounted Police in 1888. They were followed by the Barr Colonists and a few hundred other settlers. In 1905, a Village was formed." Midwest Country.
